Burnaby office feeds the needy

On the 17th June a group of volunteers from the Burnaby office, along with friends and family, gave up their Saturday afternoon to prepare and serve lunch at Enspires’ ‘Living Room’ in Vancouvers’ Downtown East Side.

Sharing the work between them they prepared fresh meat and vegetables to make pasta with meat sauce, garlic bread and salad to serve 150 people, and even had time to make 150 Rice Krispie squares for dessert.

We finished the day by a team effort to wash the pots, pans, trays and utensils.

As well as the feel good factor from helping out, the volunteers got a huge round of applause from the diners.

The Burnaby office also raised over $200 to help support the work of Enspire in the Downtown East Side.
